Organizational Snapshot:

Theatre Resource is a dynamic and forward-looking professional arts organization established in 1990, specializing in the area of disability arts and social inclusion. Operating at a regional and national level, Theatre Resource stimulates high-quality, diverse, and experimental arts work; provides lifelong learning, training, and employment opportunities; initiates informed debate and policy-making; fosters enabling environments; and advances inclusion, accessibility, and equality in the wider arts environment for children, youth, and adults. Their programming includes participatory arts projects, workshops, theater performances, exhibitions, publications, training and supported employment opportunities, and dissemination and networking initiatives. Theatre Resource is currently in the process of building a National Centre for Arts, Disability, and Social Inclusion to be finished in May 2011. The Centre will be the only United Kingdom center to provide fully accessible residential training opportunities in the arts. Theatre Resource joined the VSA affiliate network in 2010.
