Organizational Snapshot:

The Creative Spirit Art Centre (CSAC) was founded in 1991 to provide an art center and public art gallery and studio for people with emotional, mental, and physical disabilities. CSAC promotes collaboration between artists with and without disabilities. CSAC specializes in the collection, exhibition, and sale of Art Brut or Outsider Art, art that originates outside the mainstream and is created by artists with no formal art school training. The Creative Spirit Art Centre also houses the Seary Anderson Collection on Art and Disabilities, an information and resource center of books, audio, video, and ephemera. Additionally, CSAC offers exhibitions, lectures, and workshops upon request throughout the Toronto area. The Creative Spirit Art Centre joined the VSA affiliate network in 2001.
