2005 Highlights

Start with the Arts Family Festival
In June 2005, this month-long art exhibit and weekend celebration of children's imaginations were designed to demonstrate the importance of the arts in learning, beginning early in childhood. The Festival demonstrates the importance of complete access to the arts for children of all abilities and all ages.

June 6 - 26: Children's Art Exhibit
VSA arts launched a nationwide tour of a children's exhibit entitled "Discover What Art Is..." at Union Station beginning June 6th. This colorful exhibit highlights artwork from children throughout the United States and abroad who have responded to the questions "What is art?", "Who is an artist?", "Where is art?", and "Why is art important?".
